Pros

RBTs on the floor are nice people. The kids are great.

Cons

They fraudulently bill, they engage in duel relationships with clients (befriend them on social media for example), they put people in leadership positions who don’t have the credentials or experience because of favoritism, they put new employees with clients without adequate (or even any) training, they “lead” based on punishment (yelling at employees in front of people, for example) rather than reinforcement contingencies, they require employees to “volunteer” for weekend events so that they can make money, higher leadership does not listen to advice of BCBAs with more experience than them and if they do (they act as if it was their idea), they underpay employees, they make up protocols that are not based on research, they don’t have materials ready so instructors have to find them during what is supposed to be session time with the kids, they hold “parent nights out” which entail watching movies and eating pizza as well as go on community outings with clients although there are no goals in place to address during those outings (basically billing to babysit), leadership does not model what they expect of instructors, they violate HIPPA on a daily basis....

Reaching Milestones Response

We apologize for having been inactive on Glassdoor and therefore have taken a little while to respond to your review. We want to thank you for previous four years of service to our families! We are glad to hear you enjoyed working alongside your co-workers on the floor and the clients you served. We take the allegations you have made seriously, and these are areas that have been investigated and dealt with at all levels within the company. Since July 2018, we have made many positive changes to our leadership development/training program and have even created a Compliance Department to ensure our Team Members are in compliance across federal and state and standards. We do feel supporting our local communities and education those around us on ABA is very important; however these are not required by all Team Members and are paid if a Team Member chooses to participate. If you are interested in hearing about more positive changes we have made, feel free to reach out to us at recruiting@reachingmilestones.com.

Pros

Good starting point for someone that’s new to the field. Working with the kids can be very rewarding when you see them progress in their skills. You can meet great colleagues along the way.

Cons

Management has poor communication. If one person messes up, there’s a team meeting addressing it instead of them talking to people individually, and the problem often doesn’t stay “fixed”. Some rules seem to only be enforced once management is upset or apply to some and not others. There is little to no in-clinic support from BCBA. Although supervision via telehealth is given, it’s not ideal, management knows this, and has said this, and continue working remotely more often than in clinic despite requests for their presence from staff and administration. Felt more revenue driven than therapy driven. Rather than addressing poor job performance, they’d put more complex clients with some RBTs instead of others, leaving the workload among employees unbalanced. People with more difficult caseloads would often get burned out quickly because of this. Even when problems were addressed with management by employees, their answer was always providing more supervision, which was often times not the solution, especially when one of the concerns was in person support and they just provide more remote supervision. HIPAA issues. After not working there for a while or using Zoom since working there, I went to go to my personal Zoom account and I still had access to all of the conversations and the company email address.
