Pros

Lara (Clinical Director) and the leadership at Orange Park location make the job a more fun and a happy environment.

Cons

You are doing INTENSE physical labor and mental labor. I would come home exhausted and so mentally checked out. You do not get paid for what you deserve unless you get your masters degree and work your way up the system.

Reaching Milestones Response

We want to thank you for the time you spent with using serving our patients and families! We are glad to hear you felt the leadership within your clinic strived to create and maintain a positive work environment. We understand the demand that goes into the work of our direct service providers as their main responsibility is working one-on-one with children. With this understanding, we have adjusted daily schedules and continue to monitor overall caseloads for our Team Members to ensure they are provided ample support and balance where needed. We also understand that this job is not for everybody, so having a passion for wanting to work directly with children is a crucial characteristic of someone we look to hire. Advancement is one of our core values, and that applies to both the patients we serve and our team as a whole. As Team Members progress through the field of Applied Behavior Analysis by attending Master’s programs and obtaining additional certifications in the field, we feel it is important to reinforce those efforts. Additionally, we invest in those Team Members by providing additional benefits related to Tuition Reimbursement and BCBA Supervision Hours. However, even if a Team Member were to decide they did not want to advance in the field, we do provide an extensive entry-level benefits package in addition to pay that is consistent across the field.

Pros

Good starting point for someone that’s new to the field. Working with the kids can be very rewarding when you see them progress in their skills. You can meet great colleagues along the way.

Cons

Management has poor communication. If one person messes up, there’s a team meeting addressing it instead of them talking to people individually, and the problem often doesn’t stay “fixed”. Some rules seem to only be enforced once management is upset or apply to some and not others. There is little to no in-clinic support from BCBA. Although supervision via telehealth is given, it’s not ideal, management knows this, and has said this, and continue working remotely more often than in clinic despite requests for their presence from staff and administration. Felt more revenue driven than therapy driven. Rather than addressing poor job performance, they’d put more complex clients with some RBTs instead of others, leaving the workload among employees unbalanced. People with more difficult caseloads would often get burned out quickly because of this. Even when problems were addressed with management by employees, their answer was always providing more supervision, which was often times not the solution, especially when one of the concerns was in person support and they just provide more remote supervision. HIPAA issues. After not working there for a while or using Zoom since working there, I went to go to my personal Zoom account and I still had access to all of the conversations and the company email address.
