Awful work-life balance: Working 11-12 hour days and 55-60 hours a week may become your norm, and I'm being generous with the minimum here.
Toxic company culture: W2O is very picky about who they hire, but it has led to many teams being understaffed and overworked (see above). As a result employee burnout happens very fast. Group Directors are often not supportive of junior team members if burnout happens because "That's just the way it is." What's more, the CEO, under the guise of being "one of the guys," uses his natural charisma to charm younger staff members into drinking the Kool-Aid. All of this together creates a certain Stockholm Syndrome and perpetuates this client first, employee second mentality. They'll pay well, but that's how they get you.
Company Events: Not only are they few and far between, they are all poorly attended due to the aforementioned work-life balance. W2O succeeds because the clients come first, at the detriment to employee happiness.
Unlimited PTO: Yes, you read this right. Most people here have this listed as a pro, but I promise you it is not. While an exciting benefit theoretically, there is almost a stigma to using this at W2O. Because of this employees typically take less than the standard 2-3 weeks of PTO offered by most other companies. Additionally, many employees work while they are on vacation, because "That's just the way it is." They used to have summer Friday's, which was a much better benefit to long-term employee happiness. Gave people something to look forward to.
