Perfect place if you like to play political games. Horrible if you just want to do your job and be your own person. - Anonymous employee Real Chemistry Employee Review

Pros

- Compensation is very competitive for the industry. Benefits are good too, not many places can you get insurance for yourself and your pet.... - Free LaCroix and snacks - Working there makes you assess if you really want this kind of life and make changes if not. - I have seen people move up if they express they want to move to other depts, etc. Though be warned it won't be simply based on merit (see politics below). I've seen nepotism happen first hand. - If people do good work, they generally will get recognized (more like a "shout out") So if you place more value in that versus additional compensation, you'll like it. - They do have some top tier clients (I mean some BIG names).

Cons

- Hideous open plan office - if you need peace, quiet and privacy to work, you can forget it. You hear everyone's conversation and everyone can hear yours. You can hear the music that is obnoxiously played in the middle of the day. Rooms that actually afford some privacy are reverse only and they are never available. - I have never worked at a place so political in my life: Above said stupid open plan office allows you to be privy to everything. People getting yelled at by narcissistic senior management and c suite execs, the pathetic brownnosing that goes on when the CEO is in town. Think you're above it and just want to do your job? Nope. You get accused of "not caring" ostracized and told you need to play along because "that's the way we do things". - Good luck trying to enjoy the compensation. People regularly pull 10 -11 days at w2o group. The unlimited vacation days are smoke and mirrors to the fact that you will never take said vacation time. You get judged for taking it. The amount of people I saw replying to emails when they were on vacation or had to leave for personal emergencies but still being online was sad quite frankly. Decide you aren't going to be one of "those people", and actually decide to have a life outside the company? Again you are reprimanded. BTW they don't offer a work mobile or compensation for part of your data plan (unless you are a executive, director or other high position). I guess if you feel the "rat race" is a necessary part of life and want to toil your best years away, you could put up with it for the compensation.

Pros

- none. this company is soul suckingly inefficient and they prefer it that way

Cons

- the most dishonest and toxic work environment that I have ever been a part of - the most unqualified management that I have come across (I have worked across numerous agencies - the work is sketchy at best and clients are grossly over billed. Pressuring employees to over bill clients and trying to force inaccurate or incomplete work through the purposely inefficient review processes is common practice at RC - if you do not over bill your clients your managers will begin to micromanage you in a manner that hints at you not doing enough. - Account teams know nothing about media or advertising and make the most uninformed promises to clients and that media activation is constantly on the hook and being blamed for - they hire very little or no men in general. this place is like a toxic middle school atmosphere, it is truly exhausting to be a part of. - managers will routinely insult you in a way you've never been insulted before at work and nothing will be done about it - information is usually gate kept and teams will prevent you from doing your job while management is asking that you contribute more.
