Pros
Competitive salary, but comes with a very high price (namely trauma) Some big name clients
Cons
This is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for and this is coming from a PR professional who has worked at several agencies and in house. Verbal and email beratement are commonplace. There is an open and enforced expectation that you will work 60-70 hour weeks without complaint. This is not during peak periods, this is the norm. I was working past midnight multiple times a week, as were several of my colleagues. Weekends and vacations are also expected to be used for work. If you complain, you’ll be punished, labeled “weak,” and will likely suffer professionally (I’m talking withholding promotions and raises, being blackballed from desirable accounts, etc.) You’ll be hard pressed to find one HR employee to meet with, even if facing a harassment situation. Speaking of harassment, IT HAPPENS A LOT HERE. I would seriously caution any woman, especially a junior employee, to accept a position at this company. There have been multiple cases of female employees being harassed, personally and professionally, by older male employees in leadership roles. Again, if you try to seek help, you’ll have to fight for a long time to find a listening ear (over a year). This place is SKETCHY. The business practices that go on here are extremely questionable, if not illegal. Favoritism runs rampant throughout. There’s a lot of pressure to attend out of office events and your absence, should you justifiably choose not to participate, will be noticed.
