Pros

There was a very steep learning curve here; I grew a lot very quickly - but not because I was guided, because I was forced to accomplish an insane volume of work on an even more ridiculous timeline.. without ANY training whatsoever. They have an espresso machine (so you are at least awake).

Cons

Management here is an absolute joke. The entire organization is so top heavy that junior and mid level people are totally overworked, miserable, and burnt out. Actual "management" of talent rarely occurs, and no one has any clue what their career path is supposed to look like because there is ZERO attention paid to talent development and growth. Pay is AWFUL (WELL below market). There are no "perks" to look forward to, not even so much as a corporate gym membership discount. Just the free coffee. And don't think you will get a raise or promotion (or even bonus) with any regularity, because the company and its CEO would rather have you leave than give you a new title or fair pay. No one cares about your work-life balance, and the HR department is practically non-existent and are only focused on talent recruitment because the turnover rate is so high (most people stay about a year) they are constantly overwhelmed trying to trick new people into joining the company! Analytics runs the show (as it should be), but the analysts are not celebrated enough individually or as teams. The work that junior and mid level staff accomplishes is great, but the individuals doing the work NEVER get the credit or even get thanked for the insane hours and effort they put in to projects. Not only that, but everyone outside the analytics department is totally uneducated on the actual capability and methodology of what goes on in analytics, so most people don't appreciate the department at all, even though analytics is doing all of the work for their clients and they were basically just presenting it to them. The company also really likes to talk about "integration and collaboration" between departments. That DOES NOT happen the way it should. Instead of an entire team being created before a project, the account teams are the only people who hear or even SEE the project briefs from clients, and then pass on a secondhand version of the information to the people actually accomplishing the project for the client. THAT IS RIDICULOUS. But it doesn't stop there! Instead of letting the analysts present their work, they need to present internally several times so that the account person can then go to the client to present the work, and very, very rarely, if ever, will include the analyst in conversations with the client at all. I could go on, and on, but I think it is pretty clear that this is not a company you should want to work at.

Pros

- none. this company is soul suckingly inefficient and they prefer it that way

Cons

- the most dishonest and toxic work environment that I have ever been a part of - the most unqualified management that I have come across (I have worked across numerous agencies - the work is sketchy at best and clients are grossly over billed. Pressuring employees to over bill clients and trying to force inaccurate or incomplete work through the purposely inefficient review processes is common practice at RC - if you do not over bill your clients your managers will begin to micromanage you in a manner that hints at you not doing enough. - Account teams know nothing about media or advertising and make the most uninformed promises to clients and that media activation is constantly on the hook and being blamed for - they hire very little or no men in general. this place is like a toxic middle school atmosphere, it is truly exhausting to be a part of. - managers will routinely insult you in a way you've never been insulted before at work and nothing will be done about it - information is usually gate kept and teams will prevent you from doing your job while management is asking that you contribute more.
