Pros

Annual wellness stipend that can be used for a variety of things (gym memberships, massagers, AirPods, Apple Watch)

Cons

Real Chemistry's operations are inefficient. And senior leadership is well aware. The new CEO was hired specifically to fix the inefficiencies at the company, but that will take some time. Onboarding is nonexistent. You are thrown onto accounts on day 2 of employment and expected to hit the ground running with no direction, no guidance, no process. Nothing. The work is not hard, but the lack of efficient and streamlined processes makes the work 500x harder than it needs to be. This place is all talk and no action. Senior leadership is aware that there is a revolving door of amazing talent and they chalk it up to "the company is at a stage of high growth" or "this work isn't for everyone". Well, there will be no one left if some actionable changes are implemented. People are BURNED OUT. If you manage to take time off, you will come back to an inbox of 600 emails and anxiety that comes with it. Many account teams do not manage client expectations out of fear of losing the business and throw on sooo much work on the teams. Work life balance? What is that?

Thank you for your feedback. We know that Real Chemistry has undergone a significant period of change, which can admittedly come with pain points on the journey to an improved way of working. While there is still great demand to continue hiring and ensure teams have the resources they need, we do believe we have listened to our employees’ desire for robust onboarding. We’ve built out additional support for new hires--including live trainings, business-specific welcomes and knowledge sessions, and a new internal platform with content for employees (a favorite resource is the glossary breaking down all acronyms and healthcare terminology we utilize – very practical). --Brian Gibbons, Chief People Officer

Pros

- none. this company is soul suckingly inefficient and they prefer it that way

Cons

- the most dishonest and toxic work environment that I have ever been a part of - the most unqualified management that I have come across (I have worked across numerous agencies - the work is sketchy at best and clients are grossly over billed. Pressuring employees to over bill clients and trying to force inaccurate or incomplete work through the purposely inefficient review processes is common practice at RC - if you do not over bill your clients your managers will begin to micromanage you in a manner that hints at you not doing enough. - Account teams know nothing about media or advertising and make the most uninformed promises to clients and that media activation is constantly on the hook and being blamed for - they hire very little or no men in general. this place is like a toxic middle school atmosphere, it is truly exhausting to be a part of. - managers will routinely insult you in a way you've never been insulted before at work and nothing will be done about it - information is usually gate kept and teams will prevent you from doing your job while management is asking that you contribute more.
