Pros
It's a paycheck You will work a lot, no matter what position due to lack of staffing. There is 401k availability, but 0% match
Cons
Overworked-completing my job and the jobs of others. Work consistently 12+ hours per day to just keep up. Understaffed-things falling through the cracks, bad customer service. Underpaid within Market by large margin. No 401k Match, and no day 1 401k availability, like most other companies especially if no match. High insurance costs for managers, even higher for line level employees. PTO/Vacation time is a mere 1 week after working 1 full year, holiday pay is scant. Not in line with other hotel management companies. No real other benefits to name. Properties tend to not be taken care of by owners/minimal upgrades/investments, and when anything is done, it's cheaply done. High staff turnover so constantly having to re-explain everything to everyone, and assist in other departments training due to lack of leadership/managers within that department and/or above property. Above property staff mainly talkers and not do-ers. Constantly changing reporting and other items due to incompetencies of regional level teams. Corporate is essentially a pat each other on the back type of team without understanding the needs of each hotel property and actions that need to occur to get something completed. Lack of training in general. Lack of career growth opportunities for those who stay around longer than 1 year to attempt to move to another role. Lack of communication. Lack of diversity in key positions within hotels/corporate roles.
