Pros
I thoroughly enjoy working for this company. We are busy setting the groundwork and processes so that as the growth continues to happen, we are ready. Management is very open to ideas for process improvements, from all levels of the organization. If something is not working, we "fail fast" and find another way - there are no egos involved. I have worked in start ups and small companies where it felt like we were always "chasing our tail" and never getting ahead - not so here. In my short time here, I can point to several changes that I have been directly involved in implementing that have increased efficiency and saved costs. You never hear "this is how we have always done it." and for that I am extremely grateful! Fantastic benefits package - medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, UNLIMITED PTO. But there is also the flexibility of the schedule and the great work/life balance -the ability to work from home when needed. This is a very open, transparent, culture. Leadership holds frequent meetings where they will openly talk about the opportunities and challenges facing the company. In addition, they all have an open door and are receptive to feedback. Employees respect each other and truly seem to enjoy working together. There is a lot of work for everyone, but hard work is rewarded. The salary scale is higher than most, especially as compared to other Vancouver companies. I appreciate not having to commute to Portland for a good salary.
Cons
The Vancouver office does get noisy at times, particularly in the front office. The career paths are still being formed, so it's hard to see where I may be able to go, but I'm confident that there will be career growth for me with this company.
