Pros

I loved my job for a long time. I loved my coworkers and the first couple years here.

Cons

After covid they promised new employees remote work. They hired were hired on as such. They essentially quit fired everyone who didn’t have transportation. Multiple major layoffs. Senior managers getting fired because of hr violations, but it is under the guise of a layoff to not draw attention. Doesn’t matter your stats, if you are using all over your sicktime and pto, you’re unreliable. The narrative changed even more once I received FMLA after working for them for 3 years. Was told by a manager we are a generation who doesn’t want to work. As well as told by multiple parties I wouldn’t move to a posturing due to me using my allotted time. Favoritism is real here. I was able to prove my other team members weee no carrying their weight, but I was only told to worry about my stats. The nitpicking is ridiculous once I got my FMLA it was all they had to stand on. Out of 6-700 cases a month I had 5-10 minor mistakes. You can only win things from coworkers nominating you a manager choosing who wins. They will purposely not choose someone because they don’t feel they deserve it. You have to pass calls on to sales and they have to purchase in order for you to get any bonus outside their basic bonus. (Which really isn’t much when you get taxed almost the full amount of your bonus). Also many managers don’t seem well versed in understanding mental health conditions outside of the spectrum. My BPD was overlooked as not wanting to work and taking advantage. Unless you have a full bank of unused pto and sicktime do not expect to move up anywhere here. I’m not a bend over backwards person, so if that’s you, this place is perfect.

Pros

Great pay and opportunity for advancement if you can get on the right projects that will succeed. For the most part I have the tech I need to do my job and my coworkers are really smart capable people who I learn from every day. I feel challenged in my work and that makes me feel engaged and interested in the problems I solve daily. Flexible vacation time and great benefits.

Cons

It can be incredibly chaotic at times, bordering on toxic. People are on edge and passing blame around like a hot potato. Hierarchy, power plays, and territorial politics create land mines for the unsuspecting on any given project— depending on your team or organization you’ll need to tread lightly to survive. They only hire in Austin right now, so any open roles seem to take a long time to fill, but the work still piles on.
