Pros
Recology is an employee owned company. This is evident in the quality of work and customer service that each employee provides. Furthermore, this aspect of the company creates a close-knit network and family at work that facilitates excellent resource recovery service. Many employees, no matter their position or placement in the hierarchy of the company, has expressed their positive experiences, and how they plan on staying with the company for a long time. My co-workers' commitment to their jobs, co-workers, and goals to reduce our impact on the environment motivate me to gain the most from this internship.
Cons
While my internship experience has been very meaningful and provided relevant work experience, it is Recology's second year doing an internship program. I think the experiences for interns will continue to improve and expand as time goes on.
