Could be a good opportunity financially, but that's all based on luck. Ability to work remote if that is important to you!
Cons
If you end up managing a territory with little to no new opportunity you are screwed. There is no logical overarching evaluation of "what is fair" or where work has been exercised and therefore justly compensated. Constant changes in pricing/customer access models, compensation, and the quoting process. The goal post moves constantly. Currently he only way to succeed is in new logo sales, little to no compensation for successful customer management or retention. There is willful ignorance to look at growing competition in the threat intelligence field, unhappiness of current customers, and growing churn rate. There exists unnecessary duplicative internal busy work that slows the sales process to a crawl.
