Great, smart group of people! If you're looking for a "startup" style opportunity, where you can make a big difference, but also with the financial security of a large list of government/research funding, this is the place. Red Balloon is demonstrably making the world of embedded devices safer for Customers and Consumers.

It can be a challenge to work in an environment with so many smart people (mostly PhDs in the field) and keep focus on what needs to be done to advance the business. Yet this can also be the fun part - if you enjoy the responsibility and opportunity to "show your stuff" and make a contribution in Research or R&D roles.

RBS is a fast paced fast growing cyber security for embedded systems company. Culturally, working at RBS your opinion matters. Working for other companies that have gate keepers that prevent individualism tend to micromanage your research. In this regard RBS is a breath of fresh air. RBS hires only experts that are niche in embedded systems. The work you do here is extremely interesting and challenging. I work remote and find that I have no communication problems. When I need to work on a project and need help the team always pulls together. I find that the work is challenging and I never get board. I love how it is easy to communicate wit management and team members.

If you are not a self starter that has the tenacity to solve hard problems with little guidance. RBS will be challenging. The team environment is great. You need to be an individual and contribute equally to the team.
