Pros
Fast growing company. Flexible work schedules with the ability to work from home often. Good lunch options available in some office locations. Free snacks and drinks. Great place to work if you want a secure paycheck without risk of being laid off. Modern facilities
Cons
No longer a start up environment. Lots of laid off middle management from other software companies looking for secure jobs have landed here changing the culture tremendously. Limited career progression opportunities as the company prefers to hire externally rather than promote from within. Career development conversations are often discouraged. No performance reviews so advancement is based on personal relationships rather than achievement. People managers often lack skills to effectively manage diverse personality types. No method for individual contributors to provide feedback or evaluation of their managers which can create challenging environments. Little transparency around compensation decisions. Familiarity with, or willingness to use, open source desktop productivity tools not required. No longer offering equity program to all employees leads to teams with some members who receive equity bonus compensation and some who do not.
