Pros
Redhat is a work place that embraces open and collaborative culture. I was there for few months only but those few months were incredible. I left RedHat because I wanted to go back to school. They have a lot of smart people with genuine interest in open source eco system and in solving problems. Management tries(not enough though, see below) to provide you with necessary tools to learn and grow. The collaboration approach is so evident that not even once I felt any peer pressure; we were all trying to solve problems with help from each other and from above :) Lot of munchies and cola also helped. overall a very nice place to be.
Cons
sometimes I had to juggle qite a lot between tasks and I felt that it negatively impacted the skill set and domain expertise. Also as a programmer, I wished I was doing lot more coding than I was, which was probably just 10% of my time.
