Pros

-Great facilities -Great pay if you makes sales -Great Benefits

Cons

This is coming from a guy who has worked at Red Ventures for nearly 2 years on the sales floor which is very unheard of! Even made my way up to a senior sales agent, which is a one of the rankings. OK Red Ventures has been named best place to work for a number of years, yes that is true but there is a catch. It is only the best place to work only on the corporate side. If you can work your way over there you are in good shape, but good luck. Don't think you are going to just clean up in sales and be promoted, doesn't work like that. Now when you get there they are going to tell you can makes soo much money there... on a side note If you want to get the job, just act like your number one motive is to make money, just sound really money hungry. In the interview if they ask you to sell something (witch they will) just be relentless and never ever just let the customer go! Ask for their wife, cousin, brother, sister to help me then make a purchase. You do this and I guarantee you will get the job! Anyway let me just let you in in more of the inside sales position. Everything will seem great, training, the people around you. You will be excited! But beware, the minute your numbers are slipping you better be looking over your shoulders because you may not have a job tomorrow. They do not care if it's not your fault for not making a sale, they don't care, they will fire your ass so fast! The turn overrate is incredibly high. I've seen people get fired after two weeks! It's just the way the environment is like there, it's a glorified telemarking call center, yes the environment will make is seem like your on your way to become this great business person but NO, your just a telemarketer. The sales compensation is going to be very confusing, you will never ever know what you will be making per sale. It sucks because everything that hits your headset is either going to help you or hurt you so keep this in mind. Even if it's not your fault that someone called the wrong number and happen to got you, you still get counted off for that...and this is the trick, yes that sales commission is uncapped but they have a way of handicapping you in a way. Work Force is going to suck, they are the managers that keep you on the phones. They get bonuses base of how many calls they do not drop (when folks call in and hang up because a sales rep did not answer) but you as an agent want to monitor how many calls you take so you won't take as many hit (trust me you will, these are the non serviceable sales...sales impossible to sell and not being your fault), so they want you take a tone of calls and will be down your throat if you are not on another call. No I'm not being a bitter person because I had a bad experience but I want Red Ventures to be expose for who they really are. I made good money there I'm not going to lie. You will get burned out after a while. No one should have to go to work every day with the amount of high pressures this place gives you. With the economy they way it is, folks are going to take work where ever they can find it, i just want you to beware before you take the sales position. If you need money for a short time great, but no long term. Do not plan on being there very long. If you have many offers from other company's in sales, go with the other company. One for the worst things I've seen happen was a gentle who quit his job thinking he has something great at Red ventures, they guy got fired after 3 weeks and guess what, he can't collect unemployment because he didn't work long enough and I'm assuming he can't go back to his other job, so he was left jobless because if Red Ventures. So please keep all this in mind before getting a job at Red Ventures.

Pros

Strong ownership, opportunity to manage people early, great people, nice campus. You will work on interesting problems and external companies. Great training if the space interests you.

Cons

Business future is uncertain, up or out management principles. New senior leaders somewhat disconnected from the day-to-day. Commute from Charlotte is horrible.
