Pros
I left a fulltime permanent employer I was with for 4 yrs, to accept an fulltime permanent offer from Redapt, I thought was the perfect fit for me due to my current employer paid lower wages, with costly medical insurance. The offer I was promised included permanent fulltime position, wage increase, and a full benefits package etc. if all went well performance wise, after 3 mos. Excited I thought 3 mos isn't too long without benefits coverage, so I accepted Redapts offer! However, on my first day of work, I was told it would be 6 mos. not 3 mos. by that time there was no turning back, I already left my previous employer for this new opportunity. I went home that night upset knowing I would go so long without benefits, less wages, and most important without "a peace of mind" knowing I have job security. Anyway time went on, and daily I completed all required trainings, meetings, tasks etc. During my time at Redapt, I was never given a performance review, also there were no problems brought to my attention from whom I reported to. However the employee that trained me repeatly said on numerous occassions I was doing great and honestly overalI I felt really confident about my performance, looking forward to becoming a permanent employee at 6 months! Time went by and suddenly one busy Friday, I realized my 6 months timeline was met a day or so earlier that week. I hadn't received an email or call from whom I reported to regarding my offer for a permanent fulltime position, as promised at the time of hire. This became a immediate concern knowing the staffing firm only agreed to my first 6 mos. (which was how my wages were paid) there. I thought to myself this shouldn't be a problem, once I bring this to their ( whom I reported to) attention, this problem will be addressed and I could finally continue my career with Redapt. That following Monday I received a very early email not from whom I reported to but from the staffing agency explaining my contract ended because Redapt was approaching a slower season and could no longer keep my contract going, nor was there an permanent position offer waiting for me as originally promised but explained I did a great job. Not only was I suddenly without a permanent job and benefits etc. I was suddenly without work, without notice. Faced with mortgage, bills, and a family that depends on my wages. I never heard from anyone from Redapt, not a thank you or a goodbye. ( The pro was while working for Redapt, everyone was nice and professional mannered, the campus is beautiful very new like building and furnishings.) (The con was the offer)
Cons
No performance reviews, onboarding was a little rough around the edges, at times expectations were set, but no follow through as promised and explained by manager. No warning given or two week notice provided due to employment ending. No explanation given regarding offer letter promised, or my 6 mos completed, for Redapt.
