Cons

I don't see any disadvantages. The work is usually fast paced and often time sensitive so it's easy to forget to maintain your work/life balance.

Pros

The manager is remote and basically only cares if you check in every morning and night. That's all they were good for.

Cons

The manager will offload your coworkers holidays and days off requests to you. They will ask you to take servers off site to a local FedEx if they don't ship it in time. They will pay new hires with 5 year gaps in their experience more than you.
