Pros

Make your own hours Everything can be managed through the app

Cons

Associate Agents should be employees or Redfin should be sued for anti-trust because there's an exclusivity clause AND they require you to use their technology and process. Plus, you're restricted from representing clients so you can't go out and make money. You make money solely from fee-based jobs which they can exclude you from or restrict on the backend meaning less pay. Anti-trust much? #1 Another pay cut. Now we are paid $35. -which exemplifies what little value they put on the role of Associate Agent. From the time an appointment is put on your calendar, you have to send out an email to the customer letting them know you are trying to get an appointment. Then you have to call the listing agent for an appointment, which can be difficult at times because they do not always cooperate. Try doing this 6 times for one appointment because the customer would like to see six homes. Then, for a multi-tour request, go to google and map out the route and finally send out another final email to the customer letting them know which home to meet you at first. After, you have to review each home because the customer will ask you question while showing a home you've never seen before and if you don't know the answer the customer will give you a low rating. That alone takes more than an hour, plus travel time. They tell you to ask questions but your manager does not answer the phone or call you back because you've rubbed them the wrong way. Redfin employees refer to Associate Agents as AAs or their assistants, no respect at all for a fellow agent with the same training. They take pleasure in treating you badly because it makes them feel more important.
