Pros

Great benefits for full time employees

Cons

Have to do 4 times as many deals as a "traditional agent" to earn the same money (example: "bonus" paid on a $500,000 deal is $1385, no that is not a typo, that is the "bonus" IF your client likes you. If you bust your butt and work hard and your client DOESN'T like you, you get a whopping $693. Save your time and work hard to promote yourself and get a REAL COMMISSION of $15000!!! Managers that have been at Redfin for a while were promoted under the old structure, and have CONSTANT turnover. Especially in the Pleasanton office, where the managers get ratings of 3, and still remain, while the agents are let go for any reason the manager wants. Agents salaries are $12000/yr. with benefits-40 hours per week required Senior agents salaries are $18000/yr. with benefits-40 hours per week required Team Leads salaries are $30000/yr. with benefits-40 hours per week required, as well as babysitting all other agents in your group, scheduling their time off, handling all of their problems, so that the Market Manager doesn't have to be bothered--oh and did I mention, that you are still required to produce at least 4 deals per month???
