Pros

Co workers and occasional free movies.

Cons

Benefits are dropping by the day. I was upset when they instituted the 2 pass per week policy but I should have seen that wouldn't be the worst of it. I am a part time manager who will be demoted in two months to floor staff reducing my hours and taking a pay cut for it as well all because I can't work full time here. This new belief that every single employee needs to be a GM one day is futile thinking. Not everyone is cut out for leadership. To say that having an employee who is great at their job is useless if they don’t want to run a theater (as indicated by an OUTRAGEOUS pay cap) is insulting to your employees. We have several employees that kick butt every shift and don’t deserve to be shirked. This is a job that a lot of people do while in school or in my case supplement my income and taking away responsibility, pay and hours not due to any performance issues but due to circumstances beyond my control in lunacy. I have worked on and off for Regal for half of my life at three different locations. I have met amazing people and lifelong friends. Toying with their livelihood and ability to pay their bills is going to make it even harder than it has been to keep them employed at this company. We need to be less focused on box flaps and nacho displays and more focused on keeping staff happy. Customers can’t see the box flaps but they can see unhappy employees and understaffed positions.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on our Glassdoor page. We understand that all recent changes have come as a shock to our team members, however we want you to know that we are listening and taking your concerns seriously. We also know that a change in job description can be difficult for those who have been loyal to Regal for so long, however we hope you can fully understand why these changes are necessary. We would also like to hear your ideas on ways we can improve employee morale in our theatres and would like to continue to discuss your feelings on the recent restructure. If you would reach out to morgan.grimes@regalcinemas.com we would greatly appreciate it.

Pros

The initial role offers good experience in sales and customer service, but the benefits are overshadowed by internal management failures.

Cons

The primary issue lies in the disconnect between local management and corporate HR, specifically regarding off-boarding and payroll accuracy. I submitted a formal two-week notice which was reportedly never filed by my manager. This resulted in an "ineligible for rehire" status despite my following all proper protocols. Furthermore, communication from Corporate is inconsistent and contradictory. I was told both that my notice was received but my two weeks were incomplete, and then later told that no notice was submitted at all. Even with physical proof of attendance (after a manager failed to adjust a manual clock-in as promised) and proof of the submitted notice, Corporate refused to correct the record.
