Pros

Privilege of working with dedicated staff who truly care for the residents in our facilities. Knowing that every day, in one form or another, I am making a difference in helping others.

Cons

Not for those who don't want to be committed to the care of residents. This could be considered a con by those who are lazy and don't want to truly work, but for the rest of us, we keep the residents as our number one priority and do it gladly!

Pros

Nice residents and okay pay, but that's it.

Cons

This facility is a abuse and health code violation waiting to happen. Residents smell like urine, open wounds get fecal matter in them and aren't properly cleaned, and rooms are unclean, especially in the memory unit. I've worked in this position long enough to know that it is not normal and a sign of abuse if this occurs. Shifts have drama, and there is a lot of resentment between shifts. The hiring practices are also very predatory, and they hire immediately without a ton of time for onboarding and seeing how the facility runs. I was asked during my interview about how I "handle workplace drama," which raised red flags. Also, some employees will talk about residents and their families in a demeaning way. Management is also unprofessional and inconsistent with their communication. All in all, the Pullman location is predatory in how they take advantage of the college students in the area and make them risk their licenses in an unsafe working environment.
