Pros

The only thing I can say good about this company is that they do own several facilities around Oregon (possibly more in other states), so if you move they may be able to find you a position at another one of their facilities.

Cons

I worked for one of their facilities for about 5 years; I only saw ONE pay increase. On top of that i had kids to raise and wanted more hours but if you were not male, a minority, or kiss their (well you know) you didn't get but minimum hours allotted while others were working more than their share of shifts and getting LOTS of overtime!! I barely got my 37.5 hours for the week...others got 80 hours a week!! They can't keep their employees because they suck at how they treat them

Pros

Nice residents and okay pay, but that's it.

Cons

This facility is a abuse and health code violation waiting to happen. Residents smell like urine, open wounds get fecal matter in them and aren't properly cleaned, and rooms are unclean, especially in the memory unit. I've worked in this position long enough to know that it is not normal and a sign of abuse if this occurs. Shifts have drama, and there is a lot of resentment between shifts. The hiring practices are also very predatory, and they hire immediately without a ton of time for onboarding and seeing how the facility runs. I was asked during my interview about how I "handle workplace drama," which raised red flags. Also, some employees will talk about residents and their families in a demeaning way. Management is also unprofessional and inconsistent with their communication. All in all, the Pullman location is predatory in how they take advantage of the college students in the area and make them risk their licenses in an unsafe working environment.
