Pros

Strong focus on the science, so a good place for those interested in or working in those areas. The benefits are great. Most of the people there are nice.

Cons

The expectation is that you are available 16 hours daily, 7 days per week. No concept of work life balance (plenty of lip service paid). No real flexibility to move between departments - some were lucky, others not. The Tarrytown facility is located in a very expensive area so plan on commuting long distances in order to afford housing.

Pros

Good pay and benefits. Flexibility of work hours.

Cons

If you're in the wrong group, it's a struggle to get autonomy even when you ask for more oversight of a group or project because micromanaging is an issue. I feel trapped where I am and growth has been stagnant. They also hold a mistake against you for years. Management afraid to give constructive criticism.
