Pros
There are more diligent and accountable people working in my department than I’ve ever worked with before. Ofc there are always deadbeats, there’s relatively few of them here. That means I get to work with a lot of capable people that I can rely on which makes my day-to-day incredible.
Cons
Having a lot of accountable people also means that the competition to get promoted here is tough. A lot of talent has been passed on promotion cycles because the budget can’t always cover all the deserving people. Additionally, if you’re competing for promotions, good luck with the work life balance!
