Pros

The salary is a bit higher than most other similar companies, and the bonus structure is above average (if you ever actually make bonus based on branch stats).

Cons

Firstly, the computer/software systems used at Regional Finance are outdated and slow to the point of being inoperable most of the time. Everything down to the filing systems and printers are outdated and hard to manage a busy office with as well. They still use ledger cards and dot matrix printers to print contracts and to print payments, renewals, etc. on the ledger cards. They do not accept credit or debit card payments and all notes made on accounts had to be handwritten on the customer's ledger cards, which greatly reduced the amount of work you could complete in a reasonable amount of time. Secondly, the insurance offered through the company was the worst I've ever had. Also you are not eligible for paid time off until after 1 full year of employment. That included sick time and holidays. We were also required to work two 12 hour days per week and almost every Saturday, even though the branch was not open during those hours. On top of that, I was not allowed the two 15 minute breaks per day that the company handbook stated I was to get. There were some days when we were not allowed to leave the branch for our 1 hour unpaid lunch breaks. We would have to order pizza and eat while still working, even though we still had to clock out for our 1 hour unpaid lunch. There were other things that made this company the worst company I've ever worked for, but I don't feel they'd be appropriate to list here since they involved only particular individuals, not the company as a whole. Hopefully the employees who do not work under those individuals will not be subjected to the same treatment I was while working there.
