Pros

Compensation, the Clients, your co-workers and the Culture are what make Related an awesome company to work for. Related has helped me greatly advanced in my knowledge of how to perform customer service in an environment defined as "luxury" and "up-scale". That will be with me for life. Also, the relationships I've made with co-workers and the community of residents that we served from the building's inception has made me expand my sense of family and it was my pleasure to work for such a great community of people. Financial compensation, benefits, and "tips" made the job that much more enjoyable and I only left because of relocation. I would work for them again, but I will admit that having a family would sometimes conflict when I was "stuck" with mandatory overtime because a concierge's job is shift-work.

Cons

The only negatives were the different personality conflicts with some employees, or bad resident management at times. Typically a building can open with a good manager and he/she may move on to other buildings once it's up and functional. To the residents and employees alike, this is like a losing a member of the family and often times they'll be replaced with someone who is night and day different with the former manager. Another con, corporate politics plays into manager areas that have no politics.

Pros

Worked in my home town

Cons

I have found manager has been dishonest and is very conniving. In my opinion she mixes the truth with deceit. She uses erasable pens when signatures and dates are needed on legal document. Documents that are signed by tenants in both locations. I have witnessed when a tenant is about to sign they ask Ms. Q if they should leave the date section blank. She would tell tenants (at times) to not date their signature, for whatever reason. Basically, erasable ink can be altered at a later time. Legally, this does not stand in the court of law. An Audit was recently performed, who would’ve thought to check ink integrity on legal documents. I had to log into her account in order to do some work while she monitors.
