Pros

When you assess leadership, we have one Black leader who sits on the board. The company also had a number of initiatives to support minority talent: mentoring, justice for change, and CRGs. These initiatives are all run by minority ICs and not leaders, yet [other] leaders take credit for the progress.

Cons

The company doesn't prioritize recruiting, retaining, and promoting black talent. Black talent makes up less than 10% of the organization, less than 3% of promotion, and 0% represented at the executive level. Read the incomplete diversity report. The new promotion cycle will further increase inequities as the only people who get promoted off-cycle tend to be white/regional leaders.

Pros

Free Lunch on Wednesdays Solid Benefits Good pay for new hires

Cons

The flexible work week doesn't actually exist. It's an excuse to require some employees to work more than the 40 hour work week. Chicago employees are required to go into the office at least 2 days a week, even if rest of the team is remote. My specific team is without clear direction or leadership. Performative corporate jargon is rewarded over meaningful contributions. Existing employees are paid significantly less than new hires. At least on my team, there have been differences of $20 to $30K in annual salary for the same level.
