Pros

Coworkers that care. I believe the product is meaningful. They seem to care about diversity and inclusion

Cons

Pay is not equal, raises are disappointing. They claim "equal pay for equal work" and even share the salary range for your role and the role(s) immediately above yours, but it's just for show. I was recently promoted to Senior level, but my pay is a few thousand below the bottom of the pay range I was shown for seniors. Pay is determined by the starting salary you negotiate rather than performance, join low stay low. Engineers are being stretched thin with decreasing team sizes and offshoring. Small time sizes increase on call burden, with most teams being 3-4 engineers expect to be on call 25-33% of the time.

Pros

Free Lunch on Wednesdays Solid Benefits Good pay for new hires

Cons

The flexible work week doesn't actually exist. It's an excuse to require some employees to work more than the 40 hour work week. Chicago employees are required to go into the office at least 2 days a week, even if rest of the team is remote. My specific team is without clear direction or leadership. Performative corporate jargon is rewarded over meaningful contributions. Existing employees are paid significantly less than new hires. At least on my team, there have been differences of $20 to $30K in annual salary for the same level.
