Pros
ICs and mid-level managers are usually very intelligent, hard working, and kind.
Cons
I have worked in corporate settings for almost 25 years, and this is the worst leadership team I have ever seen. They are elitist and completely out of touch with market, consumer, and workforce realities. They do not make plans and strategies based on actual data and consumer research but on their own “intuition,” and any employee who points out problems and flaws is retaliated against. It’s gotten to the point that mid-level managers regularly tell their employees not to bring up problems they are experiencing or concerns they have in meetings with senior leadership because the retaliation is so severe, and they want to protect their employees. The company has had a negative eNPS for the last two years, and leadership pawns it off by saying our eNPS is low because the employees don’t understand the questions on the survey. They do a round of layoffs almost every quarter, restructure constantly, and change priorities frequently, so it is very difficult for the remaining employees to be effective in their roles.
