Pros
A handful of managers, <10%, are good managers that want to help their team with individual and company goals. You can meet a few incredible people, but they are rare. Most of the people that made this company great left because the company has pushed them out.
Cons
The other ~90% of managers only care about making their goals no matter how straining it is on their team. The CEO doesn't care. He was put in this position when Jim left and it is very obvious the new CEO has no idea what he is doing and doesn't care like Jim did. Bertelsmann does not care about Relias. All Bertelsmann cares about is Relias making it money. Anyone that truly cares about their job and helping are pushed out/laid off. The company will never tell that any lay-offs have happened and try to keep it as quiet as possible; because they are trying to hide it. When half of the marketing dept was laid-off, ELT made no one away of it. Instead, they lied and at one point during a company wide meeting said, "During COVID, Relias has not furloughed any contributor." That's because you had those employees laid-off. You didn't give those employees a chance to come back and lied to the whole company about what happened to them. If you don't lick boot or get in with the popular people, don't expect any kind of appreciation or ability to be promoted. Only a select few, ~20 people, are always receiving free vacations, money, appreciation, etc. No growth for promotions/opportunities even if the next step is the logical step in your career. The company will 100% hire from the outside if possible. The revolving door of people is ridiculous. Genuine people get laid-off while people who lied on their resume in a director's position got to stay.
