Pros

Some of the best individual contributors I have ever worked with both in skill and culture.

Cons

-Some of the most ill-advised decision making in the C-Suite I have ever seen. -CEO is totally absent of any intuition of how to implement the vision he has which leads to underlings vying for control/power/individualized interpretations of how to implement growth/change. -Relias has very little organic growth, they are a passion project of a private equity firm. The parent firm has no process for how to enable success for Relias. So Relias must have vision and process on their own, and they do not. -In my experience from the last 5 years, Relias leadership has an idea, throws it against the wall by hiring staff according to implementation of an approach. Then when the idea fails from lack of direction/follow-through from CEO underlings, and then they fire all the staff they can to make up for missing profit projections. -There are market impacts that affect these decisions to augment/realign staff yes, but they are not the true prevailing reasons for reductions in force. -The real reason for constant chaos is blind people leading some very strong individual contributors in the dark. -I would avoid this company until a new CEO is selected and new liaison to the parent company.

Pros

Amazing corporate culture Leadership listened to engineering on tools, technology stack, etc Actual product ownership, including necessary input and control (instead of being told you own a product and then not given the necessary access or tools to maintain it)

Cons

Hiring process involved psychological screening with a lot of implicit bias, almost like an IQ test. On the plus side, I've been told they discontinued its use after that was pointed out.

Pros

You have kind co-workers and good benefits.

Cons

The strategic direction is unclear for many parts of the business. There is not enough transparency around hiring decisions - including who is still with the company and where there are opportunities for growth.
