Pros

My Journey at Remitly: 18 Months of Growth and Impact Over the past 18 months at Remitly, I've embraced a series of exciting challenges within an incredibly collaborative team environment. One of the highlights has been leading several internal, customer-facing projects. Taking ownership of these initiatives allowed me to apply my passion for helping others achieve their goals, thereby making a positive impact on both our customers and the company. Remitly's culture is uniquely focused on delivering meaningful impact at a fast pace. It's an environment where dynamic professionals are encouraged to grow, supported by exceptional leaders who are deeply invested in our success. This commitment to personal and professional development is a testament to Remitly's core values, including customer centricity, delivering on promises, and hiring and growing exceptional people. Being part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement has been both inspiring and rewarding. I'm proud to contribute to Remitly's mission of transforming lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders

Cons

The fast-paced nature of the organization is invigorating, but it sometimes leads to overlapping responsibilities. Clarifying role definitions might help streamline processes

Pros

The company started off to be great when I joined a few years back. Lots of hands on opportunities, some great people to work with. Benefits are good, people are valued and contributions are seen.

Cons

The company really started to go downhills in 2024 when there are constant leadership changes, mission changes, priorities changes and team orgs. Business Managers are starting to act like the "decision-maker" over pretty much all product and marketing decisions. We start to question if the direction we are focusing on is even right. Is it customer-centric still or is it more business-oriented. work life balance is bad stress is high people are no longer valued, heard or seen you know a company is going in a negative direction when you start to see tenured employees to leave, smart people to leave as well.
