Pros

I can only speak for a non union locations. Good Benefits, usually between 9-12hr shifts no more than 14. Provides lots of clothes and PPE, even socks and belts. pretty much everything other than underwear. Also will pay for you to obtain your class b cdl with a 1 year contract.

Cons

Usually depends on your Route/Roll with the company. You will either get a "Gravy" route where your not under time pressure, have a decent truck, even time to take a break in your day. Or you can get a route that makes you hate your job with a bad truck, long non stop day, getting out all the time. can be a dangerous job in and out of traffic, lots of safety meetings because of injuries/fatalities. Your Experience will depend on your specific location, best way to get an idea of how your work will be, is to ask the drivers there and that will give you the best idea.

Pros

I liked my collegues and we worked well as a team.

Cons

Poor leadership, micromanagement of sales team, disorganized, operations could not service current customers and sales team were expected to bring on new business that we also could not service, zero sense of urgency with operations, a 30% price increase was applied to most all accounts every 10 month and sales team were instructed by the GM NOT to tell new and/or existing customers, very deceitful practices, AI pictures taken from cameras on trucks generated a vast amount of fees that were invalid, customers had to babysit their invoices as to not be taken advantage of, very difficult to retain customers due to price increases, bogus fees, and all around poor service. I’m not sure how or why any customers would use Republic Services.
