Changes seem to happen often in management causing projects to be abandoned or overlooked when new management begins. While the work is self-directed and associates are given power to make decisions, there are some instances where there needs to be manager involvement but it often fails to occur. There are often not enough staff in order to be able to trade schedules or take days off. These days have to be covered by the assistant manager or not taken at all.
