Pros
Remote, startup, great pay, engaging management, thorough training. Everyone is very supportive of each other and the culture does have a strong family vibe to it. I moved up pretty quickly after I followed the feedback I was given by upper management. Some people don't react well to feedback and they take it too personally but once you realize that they're just trying to help you, you'll be fine. The description of the job when I got hired was accurate, I never came into this not understanding the impact of it meant to be omni (chats/phones/emails). As for moving up, I was upfront with management about wanting to move up in the company and I got the guidance and feedback I needed to take steps toward that.
Cons
Normal stress of any CS job. Yes, it can be demanding at times (what retail/CS job isn't) and you can get bogged down by the constant pressure of being on phones/chats/emails especially during the holidays. BUT, anytime anyone has genuinely needed a moment to gather themselves, it's never an issue if you just ask. This job is not for everyone. Not everyone can handle being "omni". Being a startup, you dont always have the answers to every little question that's asked. All you need to do is reach out to someone for help. I did start as a 1099 contract employee for the first 90 days but everyone does as a probationary period. Lots of other companies do this, though.
