Pros

Enjoyed engaging with and marketing to seniors.

Cons

No one is truly at the helm of the salesforce. Unique reporting structure with no accountability built in but lots of finger pointing when times are tough-like selling during a pandemic. Other than a week of classroom training, RLC has no continued development for field sales. No thinking outside the box. Internal systems are antiquated and they were compromised during my time there. Managers are dismissive and suspicious of you if you seek help outside their bubble. Passive aggressive management style contributes to the toxic work environment. Expected to work 7 days a week.

Pros

Loyal company. The mid-size nature of the company means that even as a server in the dining room, I eventually became familiar with executives and high-level corporate employees.

Cons

Low wage, and occasional poor collaboration between departments, as other departments were not adequately familiar with food service work yet would micromanage kitchen and dining room staff
