Pros

Residents & staff! Great training & support from Home Office team. Great benefits and working environment. Provided a nice apartment, meals & other community amenities. The mind set of this family owned company is a servant mindset—-there is truly care for the residents and staff.

Cons

A lot of management turnover—-to be a manager you live on site. This means you may be assigned far from your home. The job is like running your own business—so if an employee doesn’t show up for work, the managers fill in. Definitely not a 9-5 job—-it’s 24/7 (even on your time off you must be available), While a nice apartment is provided, it is on site & there is no privacy. My suggestion to the management is to create a private patio for managers’ apartment so they have somewhere to “get away” (all management apartments have a sliver of patio right by side entrance. No privacy. Hire 4th Concierge. This would relieve managers to be with residents & do more management tasks—and alleviate issues with concierge vacancies/vacations, etc

Pros

Loyal company. The mid-size nature of the company means that even as a server in the dining room, I eventually became familiar with executives and high-level corporate employees.

Cons

Low wage, and occasional poor collaboration between departments, as other departments were not adequately familiar with food service work yet would micromanage kitchen and dining room staff
