Pros

Good discounts, holidays parties, and some decent humans.

Cons

Toxic high school mentality. Promotions don’t seem based on merit, unless you’re tight with the core boys’ club leadership, you’re probably staying exactly where you are. Career growth feels predetermined, and the same handful of people get promoted over and over while everyone else gets overlooked. They love to say they’re open to feedback, new ideas, and pushback, but in reality if it doesn’t come from the right people, it gets shut down immediately. Different opinions aren’t welcomed, they’re ignored. Honestly, I’ve never felt more mentally drained and beat down than I did working here. Also there's a layoff every 6 months, and constantly rehiring those positions under other titles with less money, which is a joke because work-life-balance basically doesn't exist there. They also require you in 4 days a week, while leadership doesn't even come in that often, or they're always away on trips, or don't live there.

Pros

The individual contributors are the only thing keeping this place afloat. There are some incredibly talented people here who are doing their best despite the circumstances, but they are burnt out and looking for the exit.

Cons

Working here feels like being on a rudderless ship in the middle of a storm. The leadership at Revelyst is profoundly incompetent, exhibiting a total lack of strategic direction. You aren't just working hard; you’re working in circles because the goals change every single day depending on the "chaos of the week." Communication and Trust: There is zero transparency. Information is hoarded or weaponized, and trust has completely evaporated. Leadership doesn't just fail to communicate—they communicate with such inconsistency that it breeds paranoia. Toxic Management Style: Instead of fostering collaboration, leadership seems to intentionally pit teams and individuals against one another. It’s a "divide and conquer" mentality that makes a healthy work environment impossible. Leadership Apathy: It is exhausting to have to beg leadership to do even the most basic parts of their jobs. Decisions are delayed indefinitely, and there is no accountability at the top. They are quick to shift blame but nowhere to be found when it's time to provide support or clarity. Employee Morale: To say the morale is low would be an understatement. People don't just dislike their jobs here; they actively hate them. The culture is built on stress, confusion, and frustration.
