Pros

The location is great, PTO is generous, 401K match.

Cons

The new leadership has no business acumen. They are all former Marketing people that don't know how to grow/help a company. They rely on outside agencies such as McKinsey to "recommend" business decisions that financially benefit McKinsey and the C-Suite level team while slowly and methodically killing brands that used to be powerhouses in their markets. All while blaming past leadership and market conditions instead of taking responsibility for their poor leadership. They have driven all old leadership out of the company, and replaced them with their friends. They are making changes that benefit themselves and not the brands or the employees. Such as relocating warehousing operations to California from Utah to "save money". Or hiring their friends that live an hour plus commute away to use it as justification for relocating the business because "good talent" can't be found nearby.

Pros

The individual contributors are the only thing keeping this place afloat. There are some incredibly talented people here who are doing their best despite the circumstances, but they are burnt out and looking for the exit.

Cons

Working here feels like being on a rudderless ship in the middle of a storm. The leadership at Revelyst is profoundly incompetent, exhibiting a total lack of strategic direction. You aren't just working hard; you’re working in circles because the goals change every single day depending on the "chaos of the week." Communication and Trust: There is zero transparency. Information is hoarded or weaponized, and trust has completely evaporated. Leadership doesn't just fail to communicate—they communicate with such inconsistency that it breeds paranoia. Toxic Management Style: Instead of fostering collaboration, leadership seems to intentionally pit teams and individuals against one another. It’s a "divide and conquer" mentality that makes a healthy work environment impossible. Leadership Apathy: It is exhausting to have to beg leadership to do even the most basic parts of their jobs. Decisions are delayed indefinitely, and there is no accountability at the top. They are quick to shift blame but nowhere to be found when it's time to provide support or clarity. Employee Morale: To say the morale is low would be an understatement. People don't just dislike their jobs here; they actively hate them. The culture is built on stress, confusion, and frustration.
