Toxic culture where people are treated like robots - Senior Product Owner Revolut Employee Review

Pros

Ownership of something end to end

Cons

Toxic toxic toxic Beware, they make up their minds very quickly on whether you’re a good fit and make fast decisions (in letting people go) and disguise it all as ‘we want only the best people’. No personal development opportunities. Less than 50% of people pass probation, which is only 3 months. No one speaks to anyone in the office and if you’re on probation people don’t really invest in getting to know you, because you might be gone next week

We’re constantly looking to ensure that we support the people who enable us to create great products and support our customers. By intently listening to our employees, we've birthed new policies, such as new promotion philosophy, our hybrid working arrangement, 60-day temporary working abroad flexibility, 2 extra wellbeing days, Team Engagement budgets or RevManager Hub. We wish you best

Pros

Working at Revolut was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. Every day brought something new to learn, and I was trusted with meaningful work from the beginning. The pace is fast, but that's exactly what helped me develop my analytical thinking, decision-making, and financial crime investigation skills. I genuinely enjoyed working with my team, they were approachable, knowledgeable, and always willing to help when needed. If you're someone who enjoys solving complex problems, taking ownership, and continuously learning, you'll appreciate the culture here. Looking back, I'm grateful for everything I learned during my time at Revolut.

Cons

The probation period can be quite challenging because the expectations are high from the start. There is a lot to learn in a relatively short period, and it can feel a little overwhelming initially. That said, once you adapt to the pace and understand the processes, it becomes much more manageable and rewarding.

Pros

Highly challenging culture that values your work

Cons

Not for everyone. There is a high bar in performance and all are expected to excel at work.
