Pros

A very strong culture of problem solving; breaking down issues in to manageable chunks and to then drive improvement. Generally people are inspiring, positive people to work with (aside from senior management) Generally good compensation (and good holiday allowances - although being disturbed while in holiday wasn't uncommon) Office is the nicest I've worked in (however the 'perk' of Deliveroo at 7pm more sets the expectation that you should be working until then each night - regardless of start time).

Cons

The focus on KPIs is relentless and can lead to frustrating results. Half the quarter is spent debating how the KPI should be calculated; remaining half of the quarter focussed on achieving it. Next quarter a new KPI becomes the focus after an 'ask' from senior management and everyone now goes after chasing that - previous KPIs are then forgotten about. Such short term focus (and then how people are judged performance wise) means people are only focussed on getting through each quarter rather than thinking long term on what is best for the company. A common motivation technique at senior management is to use 80% stick, 20% carrot. Everything is terrible, rubbish, needs work - when teams feel at rock bottom the carrot is used: 'oh actually you're doing well in challenging circumstances.' Repeat cycle.

Hi, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We appreciate your recognition of our strong problem-solving culture and the inspiring colleagues you've encountered. Your feedback regarding compensation, holiday allowances, and office environment is valuable to us. Regarding your concerns, we understand that the focus on KPIs can be demanding. We’ve accomplished a great deal in a short span of time, and this ambitious and dynamic environment can be challenging at times. We strongly believe that establishing clear performance expectations helps us all focus on shared objectives and provide targeted support where needed. Key performance indicators (KPIs) are discussed and mutually agreed upon by line managers and employees to ensure alignment. When determining goals, we’re guided by our core values: Never Settle, Get it Done, and Deliver WOW. It’s because of our commitment to these values over the past eight years that we can proudly call ourselves a global financial superapp today. We appreciate all that you've done, and we wish you well in your next role. Wishing you the best.

Pros

Working at Revolut was one of the most rewarding experiences in my career. Every day brought something new to learn, and I was trusted with meaningful work from the beginning. The pace is fast, but that's exactly what helped me develop my analytical thinking, decision-making, and financial crime investigation skills. I genuinely enjoyed working with my team, they were approachable, knowledgeable, and always willing to help when needed. If you're someone who enjoys solving complex problems, taking ownership, and continuously learning, you'll appreciate the culture here. Looking back, I'm grateful for everything I learned during my time at Revolut.

Cons

The probation period can be quite challenging because the expectations are high from the start. There is a lot to learn in a relatively short period, and it can feel a little overwhelming initially. That said, once you adapt to the pace and understand the processes, it becomes much more manageable and rewarding.

Cons

Not for everyone. There is a high bar in performance and all are expected to excel at work.
