      Pros

      The work life balance and Covanta is relatively good because your managers will allow you to work very flexible hours and you can work any day from home you want if you’re on the good side and I would say mostly that is the biggest pro to being at Covanta. Most of the benefits of the company offers are mediocre so I wouldn’t get too excited over benefits

      Cons

      They will work you like a slave because they would give you as much work from home availability as you want I will be able to come in to the office anytime you want but you were work from 7 to 7 or from 8 to 8 and possibly not even get lunch because that Covanta everyone loves to have hours long meetings and no one cares about your personal time then because meetings most important to your leader ship because it’s about them rising and being praised for the work you do

      Pros

      The I&E Apprenticeship Program has been an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience while learning the fundamentals of instrumentation and electrical systems.

      Cons

      Not many cons in the program. Great program

      Pros

      The shift supervisor role consists of busy days with a lot of varying priorities. You are responsible for emissions regulation, work permits, specialized permits, managing changing plant conditions, and administrative personnel requirements. This can be a high-octane role but has a more relaxed period on night shift and when outages aren't occurring (planned shutdowns for maintenance). Expect to drive plant performance and employee development. Many opportunities for professional and personal development if you put the time in.

      Cons

      The plant culture will play a huge role in your quality of life, since most of your time will be at the plant. This can be good or bad. Quite a few managers do not engage or develop personnel due to various qualities. You will have to do the leg work in fostering a change for personnel development.
