Pros
The pay was okay, but the cons were overwhelming.
Cons
Being a graduate student in the Social Sciences College gave me panic attacks due to the awful dictatorship of the professors and advisers I had there. Lots of ambiguity and no real mentoring. The PhD from Rice offers very little actual skills and is only a credential from a slightly above average university. Go somewhere else.
