Pros

Very smart and very talented group of individuals propping up the company. Decent benefits.

Cons

A good portion of those smart and talented people that drove the company to the success it has, are gone due to the incompetence and lack of caring from their C-Level "leaders". When the CEO & COO decide to voluntarily lay off 75% of the division that drove the most revenue and was there from the inception of RigUp, you have to ask yourself are these the type of people I would want to work for. In the middle of a pandemic they willingly decided to lay off 120-130 of their employees to “better position themselves”. Where were the adults in the room when making that decision? There are none. The culture is incredibly bro and cliquish. They do not take criticism or suggestions well. Whenever someone would challenge the executives to implement a better operation or strategy, they typically would not be there long. It shows a lack of self awareness and humility to only surround yourself with agreeable people. The arrogance and delusion from their top executives is surprising to say the least. It’s like they read the Elizabeth Holmes story and said “she did it right, let’s do that”. As far as the product goes, there is not much to say. They are hardly a tech company. They have not made a sound decision in regards to tech in the time I worked there. Instead they rely on interns and hire contractors to fill in the gaps. They have no idea what they are doing and have not tried to fix their platform to better help themselves. Instead they wait till a problem is so insurmountable that not much can be done but throw as much human resources at it as possible to try and fix it. They have zero accountability for management, which is also incredibly inept and/or inexperienced. Most of their mid-management has zero experience and has no business leading a team of any size. Again, they elected to send 130 of their employees out the door during the worst pandemic this world has seen in over 100 years. The C-Level at RigUp does not care about any of their employees. Save yourself the wasted time and find a better place to work, which should not be hard. I would suggest to go find a company that will not only appreciate you but will not willingly leave you out in the cold when the world gets turned on its head. Again, would like to underscore how poorly the C-level and management thinks of their employees.
