Pros
* Incredibly competitive product vision and one of the best product to market fit - This is the primary reason I joined after numerous previous employers failed to prove product fit despite having great technology. * Great individual career development opportunity to grow with the company - The exact thrilling startup experience I wanted to get when joining. Building "zero to one" products from scratch and observe tremendous business impact, helped me grow into the next level as an engineer. * Clear exit strategy and great monetary incentives, again, backed by clear product vision and great growth trajectory. * The people - Having the chance to help tripling the engineering team, and enjoyed the time working with LOTS of smart people, pooling our wisdom and grits together to build something amazing and lasting. * Supportive team - Myself and at least five members of my team had babies in the past few years. The team and company understand the hardship new parents go through and are extremely supportive.
Cons
* Not a place to "rest and vest" - This company has low tolerance of opportunists not pulling their own weight * Growth pain due transitioning from startup culture to mature enterprise - Not really a con. Only growing companies have growth pain. I choose growth pain over no growth on any day. * Not best insurance benefits if with family - The company dogfood its own PEO benefits product, not exactly suitable for its current size anymore.
