Pros

The company provides a lot of opportunities to advance in a variety of departments. No experience necessary to work in customer service department. Easy to stand out due to high turnover and low standards.

Cons

Mindless/Mind-numbing work. Low pay. You are micro-managed to the minute, but being in a call-center that isn't too unexpected. I mentioned the opportunities for advancement, but in this department the ceiling is very low. Leaving this department/building is the only way to advance within the company. The on-the-job training is worthless, to be kind. Your new hire training isn't handled by HR trainers, but instead it is developed and delivered by other "seasoned" representatives in the department. Representatives are not all treated equally by leadership. The majority of the department's leadership team is comprised of people who have been here longest, not exactly one's who are good at what they do. At Rite Aid, it's not "what" you know but "who" you know.
