Pros

I have worked for RA for over 12 years. My fellow co-workers have become life long friends. We all work together to get the job done and give our customers the best possible experience at our location. Our Manager is awesome and truly cares about us as people.

Cons

Communicaton is very bad. Mostly on the corporate to store level. We ae VERY short staffed. Since, during the most recent recession and the cutting back on staff, the higher ups seem to feel we can exist on minimal hours. We have, usually, 1 manager and 1 cashier per shift. Mornings are slow but it picks up in the afternoon. We are in a poor community, a lot of drug activity, homeless, and a great deal of shoplifting. This just adds to the stress when you are the only one available for customer service. They base our hours on sales, and yet, we can not increase sales if we have slow customer service and busy people can not get in and out quickly. I fear we will be shut down when the RA / Walgreens merger takes place. I am beginning to search for other oppertunities now before I am unemployed and out of luck.
