Pros
Family run business that treats its employees like ... family! We work very hard, but do also enjoy each other's company. We don't have a stiff corporate culture like other places I've worked at. It's challenging work, but fun and interesting at the same time. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement for those that apply themselves and make the effort to learn outside their core talents. We reward well-rounded employees, not those that simply do their job and go home. Management is constantly strategizing on ways to grow the business, meaning a new idea may spur opportunities for employees to grow in their positions with new responsibilities. The areas we focus on allow for all employees to work with some of the largest companies in the world, some in interesting sectors with fascinating businesses. I actually look forward to coming to work (most days), what an interesting concept.
Cons
No place is going to be perfect, and with Rivel it's really the location. I've always said that and will continue to unless we or I move. Areas surrounding Westport are not exactly affordable, making the commute less than ideal. But it's worth it at the end of the day.
