Pros

Working at Rivel is a great company to be a part of because of the friendly, collaborative culture. I have noticed that open exchanges with various departments opens the door to build upon each other. This not only provides validation, but it also lets the employee speak up if they want to contribute an idea. Rivel encourages active participation and acknowledges accomplishments at any level. Even though the beginning had difficulties being fully remote, Rivel has an organized system that was accommodating. The company was welcoming with open arms through every Rivel department. Through Human Resources the onboarding was very descriptive, and I was able to work through the process with minimal difficulty. In my opinion, the process was very organized and efficient. The employees’ kind messages made my day and encouraged me to meet the whole company. Another reason why I enjoy working at Rivel is there were tasks for me to do right away. My main responsibilities are to maintain the contact database through Salesforce. I would get requests from Sales Consultants to input and or output information. In addition, I am able to work on projects to help the various consulting teams maintain and build partnerships. Doing these tasks make me very happy because every task has a pivotal role. Now that the office is open on a hybrid schedule, the experience of working at Rivel has only gotten better. Being at the office makes a tremendous impact as it is easier to communicate with one another. Additionally, I have met and made wonderful connections from various departments. By being able to build these bonds. it has made me more confident as a communicator. Overall, I am thrilled to be a part of an incredible organization and I am looking forward to learning more advanced functions of my role.

Cons

I only have nothing, but positive remarks for the company.

Pros

- Work-life balance is generally respected. - Most people are lovely, at least to your face. - Respectable client list.

Cons

- The culture is hollow. It's mostly talk with little to no follow-through. - The company entered a tailspin with cascading problems after the Covid bump peaked. Unrealistic growth expectations lead to over-hiring and subsequently several rounds of layoffs. - Management re-orgs the company about every 9 months, creating confusion while shuffling responsibilities/expectations. - New initiatives of questionable value are quickly introduced and soon forgotten or ignored. - The upper management group has been there for many years and is far too comfortable with itself. Poor outcomes are attributed to direct reports. - Most of the most talented individuals recognize the dog and pony show and move on for better opportunities/salaries elsewhere.
